Consultation

Dr. V. provides consultation to a variety of community partners including researchers interested in developing/testing CBT or mindfulness-based interventions and apps and agencies/organizations interested in offering one-time, short-term, or sustained mindfulness meditation courses to employees and staff.

Dr. V. is currently involved in three separate projects at the New York University School of Medicine that involve adapting and testing mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for different patient populations: women in recovery after breast cancer treatment, women who have recently had a heart event, adults with a diagnosis of hypertension who have elevated depressive symptoms. Dr. V.'s responsibilities on these studies involve developing/adapting group mindfulness-based interventions, delivering interventions and/or supervising facilitators of newly developed group interventions, providing consultation to principal investigators around mindfulness theory/concepts and research design and implementation with mindfulness-based interventions.

Please contact Dr. V. if you are interested in discussing consultation services, fees, etc.
